Maybe it's my young age, maybe it's my indecisiveness or maybe I'm just eclectic, I can't seem to find my style. I like modern designs, i like classical designs, i like the rich eastern style and I also like the western style. My taste seems to really depend on my mood and situation in life. Sometimes i'll love black and other times i'll love white... So here are some images that speak to me (forgive me for not properly crediting the photo to the right ppl or blog as i forget where i got them! sorry). So i shall give you my current top 10 fav images...
1. This hall entrance is beautiful! it's bright and i love the furnishing and the orchids! Even the ceiling lights. It feels very colonial to me...
2. I absolutely LOVE Thomas O'Brien because he mixes antiques into an interior with a modern edge. This particular living speaks to me because it's a huge open space with high ceilings and LOTS of natural light. Also, the dark furnishing against the white walls! absolutely beautiful! I love how the walls and moldings are one colour...white!
3. DRAMATIC! My dream home must have some sort of inside out space. It's the Scot in me that is drawn to this space...I can feel it now, the wild winds of the highlands... *sigh* Oh! how i miss Scotland! I love the old boardwalk wood floor in this photo.

4. GALLERY HALLWAY...the image says it all...i love photos what can i say? If you want me to be jealous of you then go take nice BLACK + WHITE photos and i'll be very jealous.
5. I really like how this sun room has mixed the west and the east. I absolutely LOVE the tables and bit of the light fixture you can see in this image.
6. Location is KEY! My old boarding school was up in the hills at the foothills of the Himalayan mountains so i love the mountains, trees and the cool crisp morning air.

7. Casino Royal. In terms of action + location + set an amazing movie! Some locations include the Bahamas, Venice Italy, Lombardia Italy, Prague, House of Parliament UK, Montenegro.
8. PHOTOS AND FRAMES: white walls + black frames + photos = classic!
...nice eames chairs are a bonus...

9. HANDMADE FURNITURE! details like these gives me the shivers (in a good way). In this day and age it's a luxury to have handmade furniture, the most economical thing to do is to go to ikea and buy a $40 coffee table made of...i don't know...made of @#$% and covered in laminate that's made to look like wood...But this company makes some stunning pieces! I would love to have my own workshop... actually my dream is to have my own wood workship and dark room, hey! i can dream right?

10. PEACEFUL REST: ok maybe i'm stretching it a little, but i want to wake up to this kind of room and view everyday. Ok maybe i am stretching it too much. Regardless, it's gotta be white and potentially fluffy!!!
hmmm, as i'm posting these images i've realized the importance of emotion. We as human beings become attached to places emotionally. So, it makes sense that we would seek out spaces that speak to us on an emotional level rather than pure practicality. I would LOVE to be a location scout! how cool would that be?!?!
